When Opinions Went On A Flip-Flop!

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

~~~
I've always been voluble about my opinions...
Not just on the blog, but in person, as well.
If it's an issue, I feel strongly about...
I have to voice my opinion.
~~~

I guess, it's not just me, but this tendency lies at the very heart of Human Psyche...

Of course, the difference lies in the expression.

And, that's where, the thin line between being an Extrovert and being an Introvert is drawn.

~~~
And, that's where, I take pride in being an Extrovert.
So, when, yet again, Project 365, prompted me to post my Opinion...
I was up for the Task! :)
~~~

It's the Most - Talked about issue in the Country...

Indians are fed up of it!

Yet, it refuses to leave our Homeland...

~~~
It Is...
The Ill Fated...
CORRUPTION!
~~~

I've been discussing Corruption, ever since the inception of my Blog...

Once, even as a part of P365...

Standing 'Against' It When I Wanted To Stand 'For' It!

But, this time it's different...

This Is...

When Opinions Went On A Flip-Flop!

FAR PAST

Corruption Clung On To India's Roots...

In Such A Brutal Manner That...

Corrupticide Was The Urgent Need Of The Day...

During The Infamous Tenure Of The UPA-Haar Vidyalaya.

When The Assembly Elections Neared...

The Scenario Changed For The Better...

Or, So, It Inadvertently Seemed...

That Was When, The Opinion Flipped...

For The Better, Seemingly!

When Kejriwal Resigned...

He Was Mocked And Reduced To...

A 48 Day Old CM!

Then Came The Lok-Sabha Elections...

And, The Focus Completely Shifted To BJP...

Mirroring A Historic Victory Similar To...

That Of Post - Emergency Elections...

Thus, The Scenario Changed To...

~~~
PRESENT
We've Come Across NaMo's India...
While 'MODI'fying the Country...
I Guess 'अबकी बार मोदी सरकार!'...
Went TOO Far!
~~~

Because, In My Opinion...

The Country-Folk Went Far Too Overboard...

With A Renewed Sense Of देशभक्ति...

And, A Need For Agents Of Reform For The Nation...

I Guess, Quick And Progressive Action...

Can Only Prevent This Opinion...

From Flopping...

My Sentiments At The Present Moment...

Are Perfectly Echoed...

By This...

As, I Did Genuinely, Go For NOTA...

In The Assembly As Well As Lok-Sabha Elections...

Standing 'Against' It When I Wanted To Stand 'For' It!

'REWIND TO THE PAST' MODE

How does it feel like to be transported back in time...

To one of those eras of one's own life?

To one of those care-free, childlike times of one's own life...

School Time?

College Time?

~~~
With Co-Curricular Activities On Our Mind?
With Collegiate Societies On Our Mind?
Apart From Academics, Of Course!
~~~

It Sure Was Fun & Frolic Back Then, Wasn't It?

~~~
I  remember waiting eagerly for...
The Debate Club at School...
And the Literature Society at College...
~~~

How avid one of those Debating - Interjecting Sessions used to be...

~~~
I always used to pick the harder to support side of an argument...
For instance...
If the motion was - 'Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely'...
It would be fairly easy to frame an argument agreeing to the above statement, in my opinion.
And...
It would be difficult to support the point that...
Absolute Power DOES NOT Corrupt Absolutely...
~~~

And I liked to take up the difficult part...

~~~
'FAST FORWARD TO THE PRESENT' MODE
How does it feel like to be reminded of one of those 'dear - to - the - heart' School or College memoirs by one of your own contemporaries...
The Friends & Co - Bloggers at Project 365 have done just that...
Put Up A Contentious Prompt, For The Day!
~~~

And as a matter of fact...

There's One Argument In My Mind, Perfectly Suited For This Prompt.

The Motion For The Day Is...

~~~
Bribery And Corruption - Stepping Stones To Fame And Prosperity...
Personally, I would've liked to take up the difficult part of supporting the motion...
Of saying that the wealthy Babus are actually prospering, if not getting famous, for one part.
But, since I'm Guest Authoring Project 365...
There's bound to be a twist!
And I have a feeling - this role reversal is going to be Great!
~~~

With That Said...

Here's Presenting Yours Truly - Against The Motion...

That Bribery & Corruption Are Stepping Stones To Fame & Prosperity!

~~~
~~~

Ours Is A Democratic Republic.

Our Preamble starts with the words...

"WE, The People Of India".

WE.

Not I...

Not Me...

Not Myself...

Selfish interests have not been accounted in the least.
And to Bribe & to be Corrupt is essentially to be Selfish...

But, true fame and prosperity cannot go hand in hand with bribery and corruption...
Prosperity encompasses wealth, health and happiness.
To be famous is essentially to be honored.

सत्यमेव जयते।

This is the truth, that cannot be negated.

At no point in his life will a dishonest person be able to free himself of the consequences of his action.
So, even if he gains the wealth of the whole world, he loses his soul and thus can never truly prosper.

Such wealth can only give one a false sense of security and complacence, i.e. we miss the wheat, for the chaff, which comes attractively packaged.

People who talk the language of bribery and corruption are often up for sale, themselves.
Greedy doctors perform unnecessary operations, lawyers bend the truth, accountants and secretaries falsify reports but when the bubble bursts, the corrupt find themselves standing amid the ruins of their own lives.

How can a guilty conscience field a strong character?
So, how can fame & prosperity be buttressed by spineless individuals?

By Hook Or By Crook...

Sounds pretty good...

Only That...

The Crook Ends Up Hanging From The Hook, Himself!

It is not just the end that's important but the means to reach that end.

We cannot progress by destroying the moral and social thread of the people.

If you believe that corruption and bribery define a way of life, you are casting yourself in the sorry state of the Devil's Advocate, Dear Friend...

Corruption takes away vigor from our arms, wisdom from our councils and every shadow of authority and credit from the most venerable parts of our being.

For, Bribery & Corruption can buy you an Existence but certainly not a Life.

Because I'm A Delhiite...

In My Delhi Manifesto, I presented some of the causes maligning Delhi.

Here, I would like to present some viable solutions to the same and hope for the best.

  • For improving the situation on the Security front, helpline numbers of hospital, police, fire station etc. should be readily accessible and the officers dealing should have an empathetic viewpoint so that one will not have to compromise with Security issues.
  • Regarding Traffic Rule Violations, more strict rules for everybody including pedestrians, rickshaw pullers, bikers etc. and not just for cars and heavy vehicles need to be implemented, as many a times the former do not follow rules but traffic personnel do not nab them, or guide them to follow proper lane rules. Hence, even if they are at fault, the latter are made to suffer.Mobile traffic police devoid of corrupt officials should be appointed so that no one can escape by bribing them.
  •  No one should be allowed to throw garbage and other stuff in the waters of the city - not even in the name of religion - so that crores spent in the name of Clean Yamuna don't go waste.
  • Commercial vehicles polluting the city air should be checked from time to time and their licence should not be renewed if found unfit. Only heavy vehicles should be permitted to ply on Diesel fuel. Expensive Diesel cars and SUVs  should be banned.
  • No illegal migration should be permitted in order to prevent messing up with basic civic amenities.
  • Illegal encroachments must not be tolerated at any cost. Politicians (local MLAs etc.) should not compromise on this just to expand their vote bank.
  • To keep a vigilant eye on the Mafias operating, proper sentencing and judicial procedures in the scenario of the accused being adjudged guilty must be followed diligently.
  • Moral education for all levels of bureaucracy and politics needs to be revived from the old - school curriculum to create a sans - corruption environment. Strict & sincere vigilance is the need of the hour.

My Delhi Manifesto

Delhi - our very own "Dil Wallon Ki Dilli" - Why and How it has deteriorated so much that instead of being the pride of the nation (being the capital) it has got labels that no one of us is proud of!

So many problems have taken the shape of chronic wounds and Delhi is suffering as a diabetic patient - i.e. wounds are not healing fast or rather not at all. I fear if amputation stage is nearby!

  No one wants that certainly. But for that we have to first detect the cause and then the solution.

In My Delhi Manifesto, I would like to point out some of the problems we face daily.

So, here's the list of Delhi's Woes :-

  • Security of children, women and elderly - both indoor and outdoor is at stake.
  • Traffic rule violations committed by all types of vehicles is increasing day by day. Whether it is red light jumping, over speed, rash driving, wrong overtaking, not driving in their lane or no rules being followed by pedestrians, cyclists, rickshaw drivers, carriage autos, buses and trucks etc.
  • Water pollution in Yamuna - by the industries or by the people throwing just anything from domestic waste, ashes, religious leftovers, painted idols, and what not into the erstwhile holy waters!
  • Air pollution is also spreading at a fast pace. Neither the industries nor the automobile owners are ready to sacrifice their selfish motives for the sake of our environment.
  • Illegal migrants from all neighboring states and Bangladesh, in particular are creating major infrastructure problems.
  • Illegal encroachments of houses and shops are flourishing, hence destroying the once praised green cover of the city.
  • All sort of Mafias - be it tent mafia, land mafia, beggars' mafia or eunuchs at the red light  harass people. Even Police are either hand - in - glove with them or show their helplessness in keeping a check on them.
  • The Root Cause Of All The Problems Is Corruption At All Levels!

Corrupticide - Required Urgently!

We all are Indians.
We love our Country.
Our previous Generation was not able to tolerate all the unfair doings of the representatives of the British Empire.
Our Great Freedom Fighters sacrificed their joys, relations and even their lives to let all other Indians enjoy their lives and live in peace and a fair atmosphere.

We are still Indians.
But, Do We Still  Love Our Country?
Or Have Become So Selfish That Cannot See Beyond Ourselves?
Nowadays, people are engrossed in attaining their own joys - for themselves, their relatives and putting in all efforts ( but all negative ones ) to make sure that all other Indians do not enjoy their lives and do not live in peace and a fair atmosphere.

So, where do we stand, nowadays!
Is it any better than Pre - Independence Era!
Are we not living the lives of slaves and that also owing to forced 'willingness' at the hands of immoral politicians and bureaucrats?

Whenever any Nation is intruded by Outsiders, it is still comprehensible.
But, what can we do now, when our brethren are behaving like termites and are spreading the poison of corruption at such a speed, that daily, whenever I go through the newspaper in the morning, I long to get a strong 'Corrupticide' to eradicate all these pests, which have infested our Nation to the extent that I fear as to how much time is left with us to prevent our structure hollowed by them, from collapsing!

Are these corrupt people suffering from Dementia?
Have they lost hold on their roots?
Why don't they comprehend that they are chopping the very Branch on which they are living!
They are infesting the same Nation whose citizens, they too are!
They feel that they just rob other people and increment their own Wealth!

But, why don't they analyze that they in fact, rob the 'Whole System' in the long run and not increment their Wealth but their Sins!
What will they do, of such immense Wealth?
In fact, they are transforming their next generation into bigger pests which shall not be able to do anything on their own, in their lives!
They are spoiling, and not securing their kids' future!

These So - Called 'Public Servants' opine that they have become 'Public Masters'!
The Public gets treated at Government Hospitals which are no better than Veterinary Hospitals and the high - level bureaucrats can now get themselves treated Abroad (Politicians were already availing this 'Royal Treatment'!)
So, all of them are thriving lavishly on the Middle  Income Group Belt's taxes (which the 'Mango Person' pays by toiling day and night and by surviving hand to mouth)!

So, are these politicians and bureaucrats not behaving like parasitic leeches too - in turn spreading the disease - but not realizing that they are actually progressing towards their own end (Just like a leech full of blood!)

So, Instead Of Pesticide and Weedicide, Is There Any Supplier Of Corrupticide!

May God Give Them Purity Of Thought And Insights (If God Can Forgive Them For All Their Previous Misdeeds)...
...So that, our Daily News Quota doesn't hike our Blood Pressure & Everyone Can Live And Let Live Too!

Right V/S Wrong --- The Educational Perspective

WHY?

    Why is it that since ages, Right has to fight for what he deserves & Wrong takes a leap and obstructs the way?

WHY?

    Why is it that the Wrong path always seems to be the shorter one to gain what one shall achieve by hard work to climb the Right path?

        I experienced the same in Delhi University last week where I went with my daughter to procure the seat she got by her sheer hard work & perseverance since the last twelve years. Every year we all read about the exuberant increase in the cut offs for all the popular courses in our renowned DU.

       Well, fine, that it is becoming really unattainable sort of feat for the students but WHY does this have a lot to do with politics?

       The reservation policy wherein 50% seats are reserved, it has become shockingly pathetic that General Category Students stand nowhere. Moreover, the actual needy ones in the reserved categories are not getting the benefit. Mostly, the people who produce the fake caste certificates and mark sheets and the ones whose parents actually earn Lakhs but show themselves as belonging to Non - Creamy Layer are the ones who steal and grab the opportunities in all fields of life. This is increasing year after year. Lots of time and energy is being wasted in locating the fake certificates and genuine students have to waste their precious time due to all these procedures.

       WHY is everyone so eager to follow the fake and Wrong shortcut to achieve success in life?

    Actually they don't gain success this way. They can only get a degree (if they manage to escape the scrutiny by any means) but when they will jump in the sea of opportunities in the market, their worthlessness will surpass and Truth shall prevail.

    Hence, parents, please teach your children to follow the tough but glorious path of hard work and sincerity rather than choosing the easy but dishonorable, fake one so that they can get strengthened and ascend to triumph for their lives ahead.

Amazing Correlations! Never Read Or Written Anywhere...

Yes, We the human beings (Homo Sapiens) have evolved from the species Apes. But that was after years of evolutionary progressive changes - the marvel of mother nature.

But many of us couldn't respect these blessings of God which HE gave only to our species i.e. Supreme Intelligence and ability to mould ourselves, others and our environment. They started behaving like other species' characters.

Here are some correlations which shall perhaps stir some souls and urge them to change their regressive behavior to the progressive behavior - worthy of species Homo Sapiens.

  • Monkeys can't recognize themselves in a mirror -- so do the present day politicians after being caught in cases of corruption, scams and even crimes.

  • Dolphins sleep with one eye open -- so do the criminals and cheaters who are always afraid of being caught and hence can't have a sound sleep with both eyes shut.

  • Python is the longest snake in the world -- so is the chain of the corrupt bureaucrats (from lowest level to the highest level) in all the Government departments.

  • Python snake can swallow the animals that are twice the size of its mouth -- so do the people who demand bribes - twice or probably manifolds bigger than they can swallow - I mean, utilize in their lifetime.

  • The Black Mamba is the most poisonous snake in the world -- so are the people who act as 'Asteen Ke Saanp'. It is too difficult to save oneself after they have done their work i.e. stabbed you in the back.

  • Snake's poison is used for preparing medicines -- so can the acts of above mentioned people of authority if they change themselves from being corrupt, crooked, greedy and selfish to helpful and selfless people who help all coming to their departments for getting their work done in time.
  • Ants don't sleep at all -- so do the soldiers posted at our LOCs and other borders (although not literally but indicatively that they are always alert to protect us all).

  • Hippopotamus (with all that weight) can run faster than humans -- so should be everyone i.e. determined to complete their tasks, however difficult it might seem.

  • Cuckoo is the only bird that never builds its nest - she keeps her eggs in crow's nest -- so do the hypocrite people who talk so sweetly (just like cuckoo sings so well) but back stab innocent people unaware of their acts (just like crow is unaware of cuckoo's eggs).

  • An owl lays pure white eggs - a dark ugly looking bird laying pure white eggs -- so do many people when they are not good looking and hence many people avoid them but their deeds can be pure white i.e. worthy of respect and praise.

If Only... Let's Hope & Pray...

  • If Only our world was a world where nobody starves and all necessary facilities are available to all irrespective of caste, creed & color.
  • If All countries of the world could cooperate to eradicate misery, poverty, hunger & other human calamities.
  • If Each country could pledge and sign a no - war peace treaty and all disputes among nations could be resolved peacefully, cooperatively and non - violently so that the huge expenditure incurred on different weapons of  mass destruction could be diverted for the welfare of the citizens -- to spread education for all, health services, sanitation, awareness to make this world peaceful and worth living in for everyone.
  • If All independent states of different nations could respect freedom of the neighbouring countries and could say no to violence and destruction.

Let us hope that a day will come when good sense will prevail in this world to sign a real peace pact for the well being of all. Cooperation among all is the only key to resolving distrust among people.
The World would be a much better place to live in if each one of us has the capacity to tolerate others despite all differences.
It can wipe out even social evils like terrorism and corruption which are burning problems of today's times.

Let us pray to God to bless us with wisdom to live and let live.

Has Our Nation Become A Slave At The Hands Of Money ?

Ridiculous to accept but as they say, "Just by closing its eyes, a Pigeon cannot save itself from its predator Cat".

The Pigeon And The Cat

Similarly, just by denying this bitter truth we can't feel proud of being citizens of a "Dudh Ka Dhula Desh"  ( which we used to be in ancient times ). But now, pollution of all types - both materialistic & humanly has smeared so much of tar on the face of the nation that if  continued like this ( i.e. without any reforms), then I doubt that we can take even the baby steps towards becoming a developed nation.

A Never Ending Black Money Hurricane
       The way the Common Man is trying to run away from all the devils of corruption, inflation, scams, blackmailing by private companies who are climbing the ladder steadily towards becoming billionaires themselves & making the politicians too with whom they are working hand in hand, there doesn't seem to be any way out to protection.

       When the savior himself becomes the predator, where lies the Hope ?

Why the corrupt politicians are busy in scams and controlling the CBI so that their misdeeds never manage to see the light of the day ? They fail to comprehend that The Common Man very well knows it all and they cant hide their misdeeds & misintentions however hard they try to. The only problem is that he is so busy in earning his daily livelihood that he can't run around for years in never ending judicial procedures and this is what these politicians are taking advantage of.

Blind Hope

         May God give them the purity of thoughts, mind and soul so that they realize that this money which they are stacking up by hook or by crook will be left here only but their sins will certainly accompany them in Hell. So better not make our beloved nation a Living Hell for The Common Man & in turn expect a place probably in Heaven.

Spanning The World And Beyond - Chatting Beyond Boundaries.....

A Great Opportunity - thanks to WeChat With Anyone, Anywhere.
Now I can have those people on chat with whom I always wished to converse - to unfold many mysteries, share many thoughts for the upliftment of my society and myself and have a good time of my life too.

First name --- (I wish I could or any company in the world could do this) --- is GOD whom I want to ask soooooo many questions but Alas!

OK. So now the feasible list :-

1. Guru Nanak Dev ji - Such a simple and pious soul he was - I want to chat with him to get my daily dose of life skills to attain solace and spiritual peace within myself and how to increase empathy among all which is the need of the hour.
2. Siddhartha aka Lord Buddha - Daily chat with him can certainly provide me clues to spread contentment which is required in plenty by the people of our society who are selling their souls to attain perishable amenities.
3. Madame Marie Curie - The ultimate female genius - to share the intellectual thoughts which she utilized to do so many discoveries and I hope can perhaps guide me to do something of that sort in future .She rightly quoted "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood."
 4. The Iron Man of India - Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel - Chatting with him to get useful tips to unite our nation again which is crumbling to pieces thanks to (or certainly not to!) our modern day corrupt politicians who are dividing the nation again into new states to fulfill their infested interests.
5. Birbal - The ultimate combination of  intelligence, diplomacy and wit. I certainly want to share with him various problems haunting our nation and would ask him for the purely logical yet witty solutions which he used to give to Shahanshah Akbar.
6. Stephen Hawking - I salute his strength and willpower to live life so meticulously that millions can derive inspiration to overcome their disabilities and keep on churning their brains to shell out something progressive for the society. I would discuss the new innovations on daily basis on chat.
7. Charles Darwin - The biologist who worked hard and concluded The Survival Of The Fittest in Natural Selection. I want to chat with him and ask him how to conduct more research in today's scenario as all the corrupt ones are surviving well in the society. Are they the Fittest Ones! Should not be or society will crumble under their bad weight.
8. Nelson Mandela - The man who fought for the rights of his society with courage and conviction and succeeded too. Chatting with him shall help me to find solutions to all the existing problems prevalent in our society and nation.

9. Tom & Jerry - Now I want some leisure time too. Hey! My sweet, cute Tom & Jerry... Where are you ? I long to see you at the idiot box but you are not in sight. Instead I find Shinchan who is determined on bullying others and resorts to lying to his parents to make a fool of them and other cartoons who use filthy language and pollute the brains of the future generation of our nation. Hence I wish to relive the joyous time of my childhood when witty chases of Tom & Jerry used to give us the hilarious time of the day. I would love to chat with them.
10. Last but not the least - The Invisible Man - Corruption, fights between nations, politics, ego manifestations, economic slowdown due to illegal fraudulence by few crooked brains - all these termites hollowing the world are growing  day by day and not a single solution is in sight. Only an invisible man can stop all this. He must stop all the misdoings of these people then and there. Punishment procured on the spot shall certainly desist these people. While on chat with The Invisible Man, I shall try my best to see that no injustice is being done to anyone.

New Cancer Detected In Delhi - Rape

Unbelievable. Isn't it? The more the cases of rape are ridiculed in public, the more cases are coming up in light daily. What has happened to these male's psyche? Why are they so frustrated that they are not able to find another way out? Is there no way to put their sick mentality towards some positive path?

I think Delhi itself is responsible to some extent for calling  this trouble. The way it welcomes any and all to come here and reside anywhere. To start with at any red light, footpath or any isolated open government land not in use or under the bridges or in the pedestrian subways (which people don't want to use either due to avoiding a bit of extra walk or due to these drug addict people who start using it as their business hub).

These people have no particular aim in life. They come to Delhi to get money by hook or by crook. Devoid of any wish to do hard work and earn money they look for easy options like begging, theft, snatching and even robbery. They mostly leave their family in the remote villages which they don't visit often. These people get tempted to the flashy lifestyle of Delhites. They want to ape everything and for that they don't think twice to commit any misdeed. They take out their sick rush of testosterone on children who are easy prey for them.

It is high time to stop all this rubbish at the earliest. We can't let young children and adoloscent girls and boys pay for these criminal and sick minded people's desires. Government must take very strict steps. Corruption and politics has to take a back seat (if can't vanish at a go). All these illegal immigrants to Delhi must be stopped the moment they enter here. Can you belive that police on Delhi patrol (if does it's work seriously) can't trace them the day they start inhabiting a footpath or an underbridge!

If these cells (sick minded people) are let to multiply at the nascent stage, they are bound to become cancerous tumors which certainly are going to first painfully torture the society (as they are doing now) and then vanish it completely. Can we afford to let us suffer from this cancer?

Illegal Encroachments: Hard To Find Solution

Read another news with the same title "Illegal Properties Razed in XYZ part of Delhi", which spruce up every few days or months. But I really wonder whether it is going to improve the face of Delhi even a bit! Actually there are many steps in it.

  1. First of all it takes years to get the orders for demolition for illegal structures of a particular area.
  2. Then it takes months to process the order, thanks to the bureaucratic procedures in the concerned departments.
  3. Then when it actually comes to the area, those irresponsible and shrewd citizens who are immoral and shameless enough to encroach the public land are ready to block the procedure and the officers following the orders of the court.
  4. Then if by God's grace, all the above steps are cleared, flaws in our law spruce up.

Actually I think court must see to it that whatever property is razed, its owner should be under the lens of the authority concerned to get the material lifted from the place and sent to the designated dumping place. Why should government spend public money to do this which is the outcome of a misdeed of that person. I think when that fellow has to spend money on getting the razed material removed, he would think twice before restructuring the illegal structure (which happens in most of the cases and people rather use the same razed material for restructuring). Many a times they request the authorities not to raze the whole portion and that also helps them in restructuring it. Hence authorities should not show any sympathy to these people at that time and follow the court orders strictly.

Hence it takes years for decision and razing of the illegal property and just a few days for people to reconstruct it. The end result obviously is zero.

Many other honest people would have observed the same in many colonies, crib about it and don't know what to do as people are the sufferers when traffic jams occur on the roads which are wide enough if people don't encroach the land around  their homes.

Whenever the illegal property is razed at some place, that colony area and roads give such a nice picture of open area which we all honest citizens of Delhi want to observe and live in.

Many a times corrupt MLAs also have a role in it. When these immoral people tell them that they have been living in that "illegally encroached area" or doing their business from there for a very long time and hence they should be allowed to use it even now, just to gather their vote bank, MLAs tell them that they can do so and they will deal with the authorities on their own (which is obviously not legal). So these people's representatives who should advise them to follow the law, rather help them in breaking it. In doing so, these type of people have become so self centric that they are not bothered about the deterioration of their colony and the nation who they are supposedly representing.

Please, corrupt citizens and politicians, stir your souls and do the needful for the beloved country you are residing in as a lot of sweat and blood has gone in it to get our Independence. Don't be slaves again - this time of your corrupt minds and intentions.
