The Yardstick For Success...

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
~~~
The Judge named Success
Is very nit-picky
Disciplining its contenders one by one
With everyone in the rat-race
There are few who make the cut
Some are its favorites - biased towards none
One rule's abidance by all
It DOES NOT Come To You
YOU Go To It
~~~

The Blog-o-sphere for instance
Is a melting pot of success stories
Each a winner in itself

Each has their own interpretation
To their dream montage of success
Each an inspiration of its own

~~~
Ask the 'Blogger Me' in regard
Success is already there for me
Blogging is there for me
With a new journey in tow
I set out in April 2013
I've come a long way through
Whatever I've achieved
Through the means
Seems so little yet so much
Success came steady
To aid me win the race
Realizing along - it's iceberg's tip
Each day - a new journey
Into alleys of Success
Each day - a new step taken
~~~

Success in the Blog-o-sphere
Comes in spurts but
Stays for real long

All I can say is
Success is not one
But many dreams

All I believe is
I have miles to go
Before I sleep

Right V/S Wrong --- The Educational Perspective

WHY?

    Why is it that since ages, Right has to fight for what he deserves & Wrong takes a leap and obstructs the way?

WHY?

    Why is it that the Wrong path always seems to be the shorter one to gain what one shall achieve by hard work to climb the Right path?

        I experienced the same in Delhi University last week where I went with my daughter to procure the seat she got by her sheer hard work & perseverance since the last twelve years. Every year we all read about the exuberant increase in the cut offs for all the popular courses in our renowned DU.

       Well, fine, that it is becoming really unattainable sort of feat for the students but WHY does this have a lot to do with politics?

       The reservation policy wherein 50% seats are reserved, it has become shockingly pathetic that General Category Students stand nowhere. Moreover, the actual needy ones in the reserved categories are not getting the benefit. Mostly, the people who produce the fake caste certificates and mark sheets and the ones whose parents actually earn Lakhs but show themselves as belonging to Non - Creamy Layer are the ones who steal and grab the opportunities in all fields of life. This is increasing year after year. Lots of time and energy is being wasted in locating the fake certificates and genuine students have to waste their precious time due to all these procedures.

       WHY is everyone so eager to follow the fake and Wrong shortcut to achieve success in life?

    Actually they don't gain success this way. They can only get a degree (if they manage to escape the scrutiny by any means) but when they will jump in the sea of opportunities in the market, their worthlessness will surpass and Truth shall prevail.

    Hence, parents, please teach your children to follow the tough but glorious path of hard work and sincerity rather than choosing the easy but dishonorable, fake one so that they can get strengthened and ascend to triumph for their lives ahead.

Who Is Responsible --- Kids/Parents Or The System ?

Every coin has two sides but why is it that every thing in our society turns out to be such that it carries a negative side to its positive side ? Why can't we just enjoy & enjoy it all ?

       I am here referring to the board results of Class XII.
 A wave of good news to be read and so many happy faces of teenagers cherishing their happy moments which they achieved after years of hard work.

         News of differently abled children doing so well too.
         Govt school children who for years turned out to be dark horses now winning the race since few years.
         Girls once again over shining boys in the run.
         So many statistical reports and overwhelming parents whose children did them proud.

  But then the negative side erupts from nowhere ! Two girls kill themselves after seeing their board results. God forbid, I wish we don't have to get any more of such news (although we get to read many every year).

What is this the pressure of? Who is responsible for all this? The child himself/herself for not being able to cope with the failure! Or the parents, who perhaps pressurized their wards so blindly that he/she chose the wrong path of suicide instead of facing them! Or the norms of our society which puts the pressure of stigma on the family which in turn is transferred to the child!

          Why does the result become the ultimate yardstick of the child's future and even  the deciding factor of his life or death? Is there nothing beyond this in sight? Is it all dark for such students?

           I think its time to show them that there  are so many options open in life for them too. Although counselling lines are being set up by the board, still first hand immediate assurance from the friends, parents, relatives & neighbors ( who are in their immediate vicinity ) can help a lot.

           Please keep your eyes, hearts & minds open and accept all high & low caliber children  with equal weightage. Everyone in this world is destined to carve his/her own niche.
