The Ultimate Showdown With House of Cards - #HOConZCafe

"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

The above quote by Franklin Roosevelt aptly sums up all the politics that is going about in the world at large. Even for fictional manipulative political dramas driven by ambition, desire, and revenge, like House Of Cards, it finely presents the visual.

The brainchild of Beau Willimon, House of Cards is an American political drama web television series. Having had a successful run of thirteen episodes each spanning across four seasons, each one carrying forward the story of its predecessor, House of Cards is all set to be back in India with its newest season continuing from where the previous one ended.

House of Cards Season 5 is an engrossing political drama. Kevin Spacey in the lead role as Francis Underwood surpasses everyone in the fray to reach the top in power in Washington, D.C. This Emmy and Golden Globe-winning political drama offers the highest level of entertainment to its viewers. As Francis says right in the beginning - There are two kinds of pain. The pain that makes you strong. And the pain that is useless. The pain that is a sort of suffering. I have no patience for useless things. At times you need to act, to do unpleasant things but the necessary things.

And he makes it clear that probably to stay on the top you need to be more than just a smart, intelligent, and knowledgeable person. Having served the Congress for twenty-two years, he evolves in his own inspirations. Someone dares to deny the promise made to him to make him procure one of the most suitable places in the Government. The person who denies Frank probably doesn't perceive the shrewdness of his mind and is thus in for grave consequences.

Francis Underwood and his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) could neither absorb the denial silently nor take it for granted with all kind of compromises. They decide to take the reigns in their hands and run the show the way they want the things to happen. Francis, as is clear already, is capable of going to any extent if someone pursues him unnecessarily. He builds excellent strategies to mold the situation in such a way that everything starts falling into place according to his will, without anybody getting even the slightest hint that it is he who is behind everything that is happening.

Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is a journalist in Washington Herald. She is a fresher but is quite dynamic to achieve milestones in her career. And she is smart enough to know which string to touch to make the music she wishes to hear. She is daring and intelligent. Equal amounts of sharp, focused, and balanced reflect in her portrayal. She understands that keeping her aggression and emotions under control is very important at this stage of life. Other key characters in the story are Peter Russo (Corey Stoll), Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), Linda Vasquez (Sakina Jaffrey), Christina Gallagher (Kristin Connolly), and Lucas Goodwin (Sebastian Arcelus).

The story of House of Cards is intense and fast-paced. There is a lot of action and sequences to ensure you stay hooked to the serial every moment. The story revolves around Francis in the lead role handling it magnificently. He plays the role so naturally that at times you are in awe of him for all the moves he takes, good or bad, doesn't matter. Even when he does the worst of the things, it is for a cause. And to the viewers, the cause seems to be genuine.

Frank Underwood is plain-faced ruthless and does what he does like a cold-blooded criminal. Moreover, he doesn't rest until the bull's eye is struck. It is a house of terror and the person who is responsible for spreading terror has gained complete sympathy from the viewers. That is the power of the story and the character of Frank Underwood, and the way it is portrayed by Kevin Spacey. What I feel is that it is not only important to watch solely the premiere but also every episode of House of Cards Season 5. In fact, one can't afford to miss even a single one, otherwise, there are chances of losing perspective.

Frank Underwood is coming to India with the television premiere of House Of Cards Season 5 on Saturday, 3rd June, 5 PM onwards, only on Zee CafĂ©!

With #HOConZCafe, it is quite simple to be in tandem with the progression of the storyline. House Of Cards is the intense political drama it is, and you never know who shall end up backstabbing whom and who shall overtake whom in the race to the pinnacle. The right move at the right time empowers the shrewd mind and can act as a game changer at any given instant. ;)

When Manmohan Flunked Economics...

~~~
Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
~~~

New Delhi.

17-year-old Mannu, known as Manmohan Singh in school records, was shocked to find out that he had been awarded an F grade in the Economics Paper - Subject Code 030, of CBSE Class 12th Exams, the results of which were announced today.

~~~
Manmohan was one of the favorites of the teachers in his school and was expected to top the charts, but the results have shocked everyone beyond belief.
“He has been very studious throughout his schooling and we thought he’d do us proud, especially in the Economics paper,” Sonia Sharma, Principal of UPA-haar Vidyalaya said.
Mannu had shown special interest in Economics and Finance related subjects pretty early in the school. He was spotted by school teachers when they saw him teach his seniors the basics of economic theories a few years back.
Here, we witness a heart - breaking verdict - Fail!
~~~

Unconfirmed sources say that Manmohan Singh didn’t write a word in the Answer Sheet.

“We were very impressed with his knowledge and dedication, and soon he became the favorite of every teacher, even though he was quite a loner and a boy of few words,” informed Pranab Mehta, a PGT - Finance at Upahaar Vidyalaya.

Mannu had fared well in the Class Xth exams a couple of years back and had decided to pursue higher studies in the Commerce Stream in the same school.

~~~
“We thought he’ll win the 'Student of the Year' Award that year but somehow Sonia Madam made him the head-boy of the school and monitor of his class,” Pranab recalled the developments that had surprised most of the teachers.
“Yes, it was a surprising, in fact, a shocking decision,” P.C. Antony, another teacher agreed with Pranab, “Being a head-boy or a head-girl is a different ball game altogether. It’s for students who are outgoingdiplomatic, sometimes even brash – qualities not guaranteed in an academically brilliant mind.”
Many teachers believe that the extra responsibilities and work as a head-boy and class monitor ruined Manmohan Singh’s academic performance.
“He faced many challenges,” Kapil Sinha, another teacher recalled, “One of his classmates and good friends, Anand Raja, stole three laptops from the school ’s IT lab and refused to return them. Mannu had to face pressure from everyone and the school management ultimately decided to expel Raja.”
“I wonder if he got any time to study for the Board Exams!” he added.
P.C. Antony.
Anand Raja.
Who Brought Upahaar Shame.
~~~

He didn’t even get the support of a head-girl even though Upahaar Vidyalaya is a co-ed school,” a teacher told us on conditions of anonymity, “Sonia Madam did away with the practice of having a head-girl when she joined the school in 1998.”

Many teachers fear that today Manmohan Singh is neither good at being a brilliant student nor a good manager as a head-boy.

Manmohan Singh, i.e. Mannu, declined to comment on his performance.

This post is a satirical spoof on the deteriorating state of the Nation thanks to Sonia Madam and her UPA-haar Puppetry.

Right V/S Wrong --- The Educational Perspective

WHY?

    Why is it that since ages, Right has to fight for what he deserves & Wrong takes a leap and obstructs the way?

WHY?

    Why is it that the Wrong path always seems to be the shorter one to gain what one shall achieve by hard work to climb the Right path?

        I experienced the same in Delhi University last week where I went with my daughter to procure the seat she got by her sheer hard work & perseverance since the last twelve years. Every year we all read about the exuberant increase in the cut offs for all the popular courses in our renowned DU.

       Well, fine, that it is becoming really unattainable sort of feat for the students but WHY does this have a lot to do with politics?

       The reservation policy wherein 50% seats are reserved, it has become shockingly pathetic that General Category Students stand nowhere. Moreover, the actual needy ones in the reserved categories are not getting the benefit. Mostly, the people who produce the fake caste certificates and mark sheets and the ones whose parents actually earn Lakhs but show themselves as belonging to Non - Creamy Layer are the ones who steal and grab the opportunities in all fields of life. This is increasing year after year. Lots of time and energy is being wasted in locating the fake certificates and genuine students have to waste their precious time due to all these procedures.

       WHY is everyone so eager to follow the fake and Wrong shortcut to achieve success in life?

    Actually they don't gain success this way. They can only get a degree (if they manage to escape the scrutiny by any means) but when they will jump in the sea of opportunities in the market, their worthlessness will surpass and Truth shall prevail.

    Hence, parents, please teach your children to follow the tough but glorious path of hard work and sincerity rather than choosing the easy but dishonorable, fake one so that they can get strengthened and ascend to triumph for their lives ahead.

New Cancer Detected In Delhi - Rape

Unbelievable. Isn't it? The more the cases of rape are ridiculed in public, the more cases are coming up in light daily. What has happened to these male's psyche? Why are they so frustrated that they are not able to find another way out? Is there no way to put their sick mentality towards some positive path?

I think Delhi itself is responsible to some extent for calling  this trouble. The way it welcomes any and all to come here and reside anywhere. To start with at any red light, footpath or any isolated open government land not in use or under the bridges or in the pedestrian subways (which people don't want to use either due to avoiding a bit of extra walk or due to these drug addict people who start using it as their business hub).

These people have no particular aim in life. They come to Delhi to get money by hook or by crook. Devoid of any wish to do hard work and earn money they look for easy options like begging, theft, snatching and even robbery. They mostly leave their family in the remote villages which they don't visit often. These people get tempted to the flashy lifestyle of Delhites. They want to ape everything and for that they don't think twice to commit any misdeed. They take out their sick rush of testosterone on children who are easy prey for them.

It is high time to stop all this rubbish at the earliest. We can't let young children and adoloscent girls and boys pay for these criminal and sick minded people's desires. Government must take very strict steps. Corruption and politics has to take a back seat (if can't vanish at a go). All these illegal immigrants to Delhi must be stopped the moment they enter here. Can you belive that police on Delhi patrol (if does it's work seriously) can't trace them the day they start inhabiting a footpath or an underbridge!

If these cells (sick minded people) are let to multiply at the nascent stage, they are bound to become cancerous tumors which certainly are going to first painfully torture the society (as they are doing now) and then vanish it completely. Can we afford to let us suffer from this cancer?
