The Elegance Of Oudh At India Runway Week

Designer Yoshita Yadav's 'Yoshita Couture' was unveiled at India Runway Week. The new collection from Yoshita Yadav is christened 'Oudh'. The collection is undoubtedly fabulous. On top of it, the graceful Esha Gupta walked the ramp for Yoshita Couture.

Hundreds of photographers and smartphones were busy clicking the models presenting the 'Oudh' collection. The moment Esha Gupta landed on the ramp, it was a freeze-frame moment for everyone to witness her grace so closely. In fact, the dress she was wearing was perfectly complementing her style and personality.

It was almost a storm that had been witnessed on her appearance in the jam-packed hall. Esha was wearing a Pink Trail Lehenga that was sparkling with mirror-work. The excitement was at its peak while everyone was busy in witnessing the flowing trail. There were claps and clicks all around. It was a perfect moment of a perfect statement from a perfect beauty in a perfect outfit. It was as if Yoshita Yadav designed the outfit keeping Esha Gupta in mind. It was also as if the outfit was meant to be worn by Esha alone and no one else.

"In this season's collection, we at Yoshita Couture have used 100 percent raw silks, woven in Varanasi and Bengaluru. In this collection, one can see a vivid representation of motifs taken from Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, and the Rumi Darwaza", Esha said in a statement.

The motive behind 'Oudh' collection is to revive the continuum of our cultural legacy. Our cultural legacy is so rich and precious but is fading away in today's rat race. To revive it back, Designer Yoshita Yadav has mixed the characteristic resplendence and grandeur of ethnicity along with the perfect proportion of contemporary chic. And this results in a superb and unmatched collection titled 'Oudh'.

'Oudh' is a Pre-Bridal Couture Collection. Its inspiration comes from the ethereal style and legacy of Lucknow. As its name indicates, the motifs are inspired by the architecture of the flourishing and rich Awadh. This richness and grace reflect in the outfits. In fact, Yoshita Yadav stole the show by showcasing her fabulous collection and turning many heads during the show at IRW 2016.

It's All About You, Says DP!

Tuesday afternoon was All About You. Kidding you, not!

It was the perfect setting for the launch of an apparel line, conceptualized and designed by a diva - an actress who has been impressing the Indian audience with her impeccable personality ever since 2007.

None other than Deepika Padukone had flown down to Delhi in order to launch her own fashion brand All About You in association with leading e-commerce giant, Myntra.

All About You from Deepika Padukone celebrates the beautiful actress's elegant yet unique style. It was a pleasure to witness the actress carrying off her stylish best self while bejewling her creations with adjectives of the likes of 'comfort, romamtic, feminine, and fun'.

Boasting of floral prints and pastel hues, the pleasant, charming and aesthetically crafted silhouttes were exhibited by some professional models over a ramp-walk session.

Deepika candidly let members of the audience know how she had spent nine months designing and perfecting the collection in collaboration with French design agency, Carlin and Myntra's in-house team.

She effortlessly shared her experience:

"It was a pleasure working with the design team to create a collection that is simple, elegant & comfortable, with styles that match my sensibilities. All About You aims at enabling girls to showcase their personal style."

Mr. Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra was elated and remarked that All About You lived up to its promise of being a collection that connects with young women. The brand will widen our reach and the secret ingredient of its success would be the brand philosophy of simple designs that were easy to wear.

Yours Truly had her minute of fame with the lady of the evening when I was handed the mic during the QnA with her. She was quick to choose her profession over her passion, i.e. acting over designing when I asked her about what gave her a higher 'high'.

Also, my knowing that white was her favorite color of sorts made DP quip with a giggle. Afterwards she added to her answer by saying that pastels go well with the concept of All About You.

Since Myntra has since long, gone app-only, All About You has been launched exclusively on the Myntra app.

All About You has been rolled out at a well-within-reach price point of ₹1500 onward.

Well, that's not all that the evening had to offer, though. Knowing that it had upset my daughter to compulsarily choose attending college over meeting (atleast seeing) Deepika in person, I made sure that I obtained a surprise for her from DP.

For The Style And The Confidence...

The correct choice regarding a unique party dress has its own benefits. First, you become the star of the party. Second, you are labelled a stealer of everyone’s attention. Third, the girls of your age will start envying you right from the first look, though there will be few, little sober ones, who will be admiring you for your impeccable dressing sense. Fourth, instead of talking to each other, the people present there will start talking ‘about’ you whether they are talking in twos or in a small group. Fifth, the center of gravity of the party will not be static, it will keep changing depending on your movements. There are a lot more reasons to go for a lacy party dress. But the most important reason will be that you will appear many years younger than your real age.

Partying is a universal phenomenon and the most appropriate reason is to flatter yourself, give yourself a high five, be cherished and cheerful, relieve your tensions, enjoy, socialize and get fully charged up.
