In Patriotic Company When #ImlyServesIndia

Imly Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Republic Day has various perceptions associated with it and that differs from one person to another in India. Such a perception thus brings along with it, varied interpretations of the associated patriotism.

This Republic Day, apart from watching the R-Day Parade live on television, I decided to celebrate with Imly's love for food and a sense of service to the nation, by inviting servicemen from the Armed Forces for lunch.

Even with the rain trying its best to play spoil-sport, I made sure that I would at no cost miss the Imly train at Rajendra Place that plays its part as a Chatpata Stopover.

Imly, Rajendra Place encompasses the essence of a train journey with various Routes on their Menu corresponding to various states (regions) of the Indian Subcontinent. With Indian food at the helm, the fact that works in Imly's favor are that all of it is interestingly presented and economically priced.

The outlet had donned the colors of the Tricolor on the occasion of R-Day and the same was visible not only in its decor but also the presentation of the dishes.

With Imly believing that 'Bloggers Do It Better', here's the chronicle of my food journey with Imly's City Tour. :)

Here's what all was presented by Imly as a token of their love for food and that of respect for the dutiful servicemen of the Armed Forces, with their Republic Day Special Menu.

Golgappa Shots

Imly 💗 Pizza

Cheese Burst Dosa

Chole Bhature

Paneer Tikka Trio

Kalmi Vada

Tiranga Idli

Spring Rolls

Tricolor Momos

Soya Chaap

Palak Patta Chaat

Kesari Jalebi Rabri

Imly 💗 Gajar Halwa

A special mention to their desserts that stole the show with their impeccable presentation and delicious taste.

Imly, with its motto of #ImlyServesIndia, is always on the lookout to celebrate India's love for food with a philanthropic insight to their initiatives, and I wish them success for their future endeavors. :)

Progressive Dining At The Reset...

The Reset Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

The food scene in India and especially in the capital city Delhi is undergoing a sea change. The hospitality industry has been welcoming many new establishments under its umbrella, lately.

Being in the hospitality industry is a herculean task, for it calls for unprecedented uniqueness, stellar food (in terms of preparation, presentation, and variety) and unmatched service.

Quite recently, I paid a visit to a new entrant on the food scene in Rohini that goes by the name The Reset. To my surprise, it fared quite well on all the above-stated parameters, and even with an addition of the challenge of it catering to the Vegetarian's palate, I am sure that it would go places.

The Reset has been established under the ownership of Monty Khurana and Ankit Jain and is situated right opposite M2K Cinemas Rohini. It is spread across two levels - the fourth floor and a terrace, that also has a high-rise ā¤Žā¤šा⤍.

The terrace also has The Godfather making its presence known alongside Bollywood songs that play subtly in the background.

The outlet has been beautifully done in a fine-dine fashion and sports an elegant look all in all.

The Reset has a lot to offer to its patrons, finely curated in a multi-cuisine fashion. Even otherwise, being constrained by the fact that The Reset offers vegetarian fare, it has a considerable amount of variety to offer, not forgetting to mention that they do serve Hukkah, which is the norm, as it seems to be definite crowd-pullers these days. I kept my distance from it, though, being a teetotaler.

Here's what all we relished at a Blogger's Luncheon held at The Reset...

Shakes:

  • Chocolate Shake with Strawberries

  • Oreo Cookies and Cream

Both these had a beautiful presentation and were thick, creamy shakes that were smooth on the palate.

Soups:

  • Frothy Wild Mushroom Soup served with garlic bread and had many chunks of button mushrooms in a thick broth.

  • Sichuan-style Green Noodles Soup which was a flavorful burst of veggies and noodles on the palate.

Salad:

This one was The Reset's take on the same and was served in an upside down umbrella, that reminded me of the quirky presentation at "DR∀M∀".

Appetizers:

  • Trio Paneer Tikka, again with a refreshing presentation, paralleled the one I had at Indus Flavour

  • Mushroom Galauti Kebab, which was a classic dish done right with melt-in-mouth preparation.

  • Dry Dates and Cheese Spinach was served in the form of cigar rolls and had noticeable spinach leaves stuffed into it.

  • English Calzone had a platter-like presentation because it was grand in its portion size and had an appreciable amount of cheese and veggies.

Main Course:

  • Mushroom Stroganoff has to be a star preparation. Paired with fried rice, it was flavorful on the palate.

  • Pan Fried Noodles were all about an authentic dish done right.

  • Spinach Kofta with Saag Curry and ⤏ा⤤ ⤧ा⤍ ⤕ी ⤰ो⤟ी wherein the curry was on the higher side of the spice quotient while the bread and the Kofta were nicely prepared.

  • Kashmiri Pulao is another favorite. Long-grain rice with the goodness of saffron and assorted nuts, which was light on the palate, cooked in minimal oil.

Desserts:

  • Blueberry and Cheese Crumble
  • Chocolate Mousse

Both of these were excellently prepared, as well as presented, and form for a must-try here at The Reset.

I had a fantastic time at The Reset, and given the fact that it is a relatively new establishment when it comes to the hospitality sector, I hope they keep up the good work and earn an applause from their patrons in the coming future. :)

#UnCafe With Indus Flavour...

Indus Flavour Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Molecular Gastronomy is the newest entrant on the food block and has quickly caught up pace as a modern take on classic dishes such that it enhances their presentation and adds an aesthetic appeal.

Recently, I had a second chance for my tryst with Molecular Gastronomy (after the one with The Addam's House) in the form of a Blogger's Luncheon at Indus Flavour, situated in Hudson Lane.

It is presented as a Bistro Cafe with a Videsi touch, additionally appealing to the Vegetarian's palate. Being situated in a student's hub of sorts, it is quite an appealing place, though space crunch may affect the vibe in the event of a houseful situation.

The presentation and taste of their dishes is what works highly in Indus Flavour's favor along with the fact that their decor is inspired from Indus Valley Civilization.

Also, their concept of an amuse bouche in the form of Pulse Candy Shots served on a bed of fuming nitrogen to begin the meal and a palate cleanser served in test tubes right before Mains.

To begin with, we had Masala Nitro Popcorn served in a freezing cold copper pineapple.

Here's what all presented at the Luncheon.

Appetizers:

  • Dahi Ke Sholey was served as an authentic platter with a miniature Hawkins Cooker that fumed nitrogen.

  • Skewer Ke Bachchon were essentially char-grilled button mushrooms which were presented on skewers.

  • Paneer Tikka Trio or "Three Ways" was all about cottage cheese chunks prepared in three varying subtleties.

  • Litchi Tikka has to be the master stroke served at Indus Flavor hands-down. They deserve all the accolades for incorporating Litchi into a dish.

Mocktails:

  • Paan Mojito was a pleasant overload of Gulkand, and I say pleasant overload because Paan is a favorite.

  • Imli Martini was served atop a fuming tumbler of liquid nitrogen and had the classic tamarind tang.

  • White Chocolate Raspberry Shake was an aesthetic delight with sprinkles and a choco stick, quite a thick and flavorful one on the palate.

  • Cranberry Cinnamon Iced Tea was presented in a glass tumbler, again with fuming liquid nitrogen.

Soup:

  • Sweet Corn was humble in its presentation and delicious to taste.

Main Course:

  • Subz Dum Biryani served with accompanying Raita, was all about finely prepared long-grain rice.

  • Peanut Butter Paneer Masala was a silken gravy with melt-in-mouth cottage cheese chunks.

  • Peshawari Paneer Tikka Masala stood true to its name with Mirch Masala, a bit high on the spice quotient, though it was prepared well.

  • Malai Kofta Masala was a star dish, because soft Kofta was stuffed with pomegranate on the inside, which was a pleasant surprise on the palate.

  • Dal Makhni or commoner's Dal Makhni as I would call it had a creamy texture and was quite flavorful.

  • Jack Daniel's Dal Makhni was commoner's Dal Makhni flambÊd with Jack Daniel's. The presentation thus, was quite stellar.

  • Sundried Tomato Kulcha
  • Cheese Garlic Naan

Dessert:

  • Kuremal Ki Kesar Kulfi reminded me of the humble Teela Kulfi that had a pinch of salt added to it to.

All in all, a nice time at Indus Flavor was had, and considering the fact that it is a Vegetarian's Paradise, I must applaud them for their culinary innovations both in terms of preparation as well as presentation. :)
