Aesthetic Food At Cafe Southall...

`
Cafe Southall Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Cafe Southall is the newest entrant on the food scene in Janpath and I am told it is what has replaced Hybrid, Janpath. My visit to Southall came about as a consequence of an exhausting shopping spree and an invite to a Blogger's Table.

The outlet itself has been designed ingeniously and is one of the most spacious ones that I've been to, in recent times. Cafe Southall combines two favorites - music and food - thus earning a point from me in their kitty. Being Priyank Sukhija's brainchild, I had expected Cafe Southall to score with me as a package, which it did.

The service was spot-on to a certain extent, though a couple of misses could be overlooked thanks to the aesthetically presented and fantastic tasting food and beverages. The variety here is overwhelming and comes an equal or close second to the one I had witnessed at World Art Dining. :)

The spread laid out was meant to resemble a दावत-ए-Blogggers and here's what all was relished at the same.

Salad:

Caesar Salad (Chicken) with Balsamic Dressing

Appetizers:

Rajma Galouti Mini Sliders would be my star recommendation here at Southall. The vibrant hues of the sliders itself seem inviting.

Corn and Fennel Tikkis

Multani Paneer Tikka

Malai Murgh Tikka

Rogan Josh Arancini with Salsa Verde

Pesto Fish Tikka is a must-try when at Cafe Southall, hands-down.

Amritsari Fish Tikka

Andhra Style Prawn 65, whose presentation was enhanced by the presence of micro-greens and these were prepared well.

Assorted Bruschetta

Mix Veg Dimsums

Chicken Dimsums

Goan Prawn Fettuccine

Mocktails, all of which were a visual treat, and held on to their characteristic flavors:

Green Apple and Chilli Slush

Orange and Strawberry Slush

Pomegranate and Basil Cooler

Virgin Mary

Main Course, served with an accompaniment of assorted Indian Breads:

Dal Makhni
Kadhai Paneer
Methi Malai Mushroom
Rogan Josh
Butter Chicken

Desserts, all of which were a slice of seventh heaven and were a treat for the eyes:

Hot Chocolate Sundae

Oreo Vanilla Ice Cream

Blueberry Cheesecake

Cafe Southall is the place to go if you're looking for a spacious, well-lit space for chilling with friends or celebrating with family, that couples good food with great music, the latest upcoming stint being by none other than Bally Sagoo. :)

Acing The Flavors At Janpath Grill House...

Janpath Grill House Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Janpath is now the newest kid-on-the-block as far as restaurants are concerned. It was thus, a pleasant experience when I was invited for the new Menu tasting as a Blogger by the folks at
Janpath Grill House

The visual USP of this place has to be Delhi painted on its walls, from Jantar Mantar to Rajpath, from street food to boho-chic, from a casual shopping spree at Janpath with a world of shopping  bags by your side to foreigners admiring Indianness in the capital city.

Janpath Grill House is all about Janpath and good food offered in two concepts - patrons can opt for either Ala Carte or Buffet. However, my visit came about as a consequence of their exclusive Menu panning five Indian States - Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Delhi - under the colloquial tagline - 'Janpath Grill House - Handcrafted In-House Gourmet Specials'.

With live music going on, my time at Janpath Grill House was good enough for me to say I would love to visit a second time. The food was fantastic, the place is a crowd puller is what I could witness when I went, the service could  be a bit more pepped up in terms of quickness and alertness.

A Boondi-filled Golgappa presented atop a mini-Achaar Ki Barni was served as amuse bouche.

We savoured the following preparations in Appetisers:

  • Anjeer Aur Akhrot Ki Tikki - The first and only time I had savoured an appetiser with the same ingredients (plus Lotus Stem too) was when had pledged to Lighten Up This Diwali With Canola Oil, and such a Tikki was prepared by Chef Jolly of Masterchef fame in a live demo. I was surprised to see this on the Menu and the fact that they had aced the preparation to an extent. Good job there.

  • Bharwaan Tangri - Leg Pieces stuffed with Egg, hence Bharwaan.

  • Lahsun Aur Sarson Waali Machchi - Minimally oiled, non-spicy, soft and succulent flavorful fish.
  • Firangi Gobhi Ka Tikka - Broccoli tossed in White Sauce.

  • Galauti Kebab - Simply melt-in-mouth.

  • Dahi Ke Kebab - Yoghurt was on a high with this - had to be.
  • Parde Wali Raan - Authentic lamb preparation

All the curries were most loved and neatly presented. We had the following:

  • Sabzi Makkhanwali
  • Dadisa's Desi Murgh
  • Dal Janpath
  • Dum Aloo Banarasi

Accompanying the curries and gravies were:

  • Kathal  Biryani

  • Bread Basket

And, we rounded up a filling meal with quintessential desserts:

  • Phirni

  • Gajar Ka Halwa

All the savoury and sweet dishes were on point with their flavour and preparation factor. The presentation was also nice. The drinks, namely Kokum Sharbat and Nectarine Mojito could have been better prepared, as they lacked a bit with their flavours.

That being said, I am definitely coming back to Janpath Grill House, solely because they have aced their ambience, decor, and taste game. :)

Restaurant Review : Smoothie Factory...

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

~~~
A USA based finest health and wellness café, the brand which is well-known world over, has opened its first three outlets in India, two in the capital city, New Delhi and one in Gurgaon, NCR region.
The one in the heart of the city is at Janpath, Connaught Place. That is the outlet I visited recently.
The complete address of this outlet is Ground Floor, Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Janpath, New Delhi, 110001.
The brand is owned by US Olympian James Villasana and is already operational in 13 countries. If you have not been able to guess still, let me help you – it is Smoothie Factory.
I found it pretty hygienic, quite calm, and a soothing place to sit, relax and enjoy the unique variety of snacks, salads, smoothies, beverages, and desserts.
The only sound we could hear was when the factory was churning out smoothies, freshly, to serve against the orders from their customers.
Rest all preparations were readied in a clean kitchen. The food we
ordered was excellent in taste and hygienic, fitting well to its brand motto of being a Health and Wellness café.
The Brand Motto Behind 'Smoothie Factory'.
Do notice, the novel concept of the FroYo, or FROzen YOghurt
Another unique feature were the eco-friendly, wooden plates, that give a rustic, classy feel to your dining experience.
It is a place where without compromising with your taste buds, you can fully control your calories' intake. ;)
The outlet is strategically located on Janpath, in Connaught Place, the heart of the city.
Similarly the other two locations that I have not yet visited but can imagine, would be located in the best possible manner as this one is. The two other outlets are –
1. Ground Floor, Epicuria Mall, Nehru Place Metro Station, Nehru
Place, N.D - 110019
2. Fitness First Platinum, South Point Mall, Gurgaon, Haryana
~~~

The quality of ingredients used, as claimed by the brand to be high and nutritious respectively can be experienced in reality for any of the dishes you order.

Probably it is the best bet for health conscious community to have healthier and tastier items from the menu with complete enjoyment to your tummy, health and taste buds.

 The staff is well trained, well behaved, sober, prompt and intelligent to cater to you.

All in all, it is one of the high ranked cafes in my 'To Eat At' List...

I hope that you too, won't mind dropping in at Smoothie Factory, after a tiresome, day-long shopping experience at Janpath. :)
