The Art, That Is Communication...

Communication...

An Art...

The First Skill Acquired...

By A Human Being...

~~~
Communication is a key skill that shapes the way, the world perceives us, and also the way we perceive the world.
It is a stepping stone to the creation of a strong personality.
The first cry of babies?
It's the first sound into the world.
The first hint of language.
The first pointer to Communication...
~~~

Remember that chapter on 'Means Of Communication' taught to us in Standard III or IV?

The necessity to communicate that would make us a more confident and expressive individual?

Starting with Sign Language...
Moving On To Speak...
Learning The Alphabet...
Practicing To Write...

With Those 'Show & Tell' Sessions, At School...
Those Speech, Essay & Debate Competitions...

Those JAM Sessions At College...

And, An Eternally Inseparable Part Of Academics...

The Viva - Voce!!!

All these made me learn the art of Expression...

Turn to Articulation from Reticence...

Fine tune my personality to Oration than Silent Observation...

~~~
28 Years down the line into a profession that demands Communication...
Communication...
Communication...
And Communication 24/7...
It's the Teaching profession that has aided me to sharpen my Communication Skills...
And turn into an Effective Communicator...
Day By Day...
~~~

The endless interactions I've had...

As a Student myself, 30 Years back in time, with my Teachers, Professors & Mentors...

To those as a Teacher, at present, with my Students...

~~~
19 Years down the line into Parenthood...
The endless interactions I've had...
As a Mother to my Daughter...
~~~

It's All In The Name Of Communication...

And, Effective Communication At That...

That I've made myself the person I Am, Today...

Be it as the various roles, I get to portray each day of this Life...

Or, As a member of the Socially Aware Community of Homo-Sapiens, that I'm a part of...

~~~
I Owe It All...
To...
The Art, That Is Communication...
~~~

As for the difference in how I communicate differently Online than in person...

Online - You witness the Content, which transforms itself into Intent, according to what you perceive...

In Person - You witness the Content & Intent both, In Person...

This post is a part of the WordPress Daily Prompts : 365 Writing Prompts program where the aim is to post at least one post a day based on the day's prompt.

Today's Prompt was a 'Free Prompt' provided to all of us, Guest Authors.

The Prompt is, It's A Text, Text, Text World - 'How do you communicate differently online than in person, if at all? How do you communicate emotion and intent in a purely written medium?'

  3. I particularly liked this part:

    "As for the difference in how I communicate differently Online than in person...

    Online - You witness the Content, which transforms itself into Intent, according to what you perceive...

    In Person - You witness the Content & Intent both, In Person..."
