When Manmohan Flunked Economics...

~~~
Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
~~~

New Delhi.

17-year-old Mannu, known as Manmohan Singh in school records, was shocked to find out that he had been awarded an F grade in the Economics Paper - Subject Code 030, of CBSE Class 12th Exams, the results of which were announced today.

~~~
Manmohan was one of the favorites of the teachers in his school and was expected to top the charts, but the results have shocked everyone beyond belief.
“He has been very studious throughout his schooling and we thought he’d do us proud, especially in the Economics paper,” Sonia Sharma, Principal of UPA-haar Vidyalaya said.
Mannu had shown special interest in Economics and Finance related subjects pretty early in the school. He was spotted by school teachers when they saw him teach his seniors the basics of economic theories a few years back.
Here, we witness a heart - breaking verdict - Fail!
~~~

Unconfirmed sources say that Manmohan Singh didn’t write a word in the Answer Sheet.

“We were very impressed with his knowledge and dedication, and soon he became the favorite of every teacher, even though he was quite a loner and a boy of few words,” informed Pranab Mehta, a PGT - Finance at Upahaar Vidyalaya.

Mannu had fared well in the Class Xth exams a couple of years back and had decided to pursue higher studies in the Commerce Stream in the same school.

~~~
“We thought he’ll win the 'Student of the Year' Award that year but somehow Sonia Madam made him the head-boy of the school and monitor of his class,” Pranab recalled the developments that had surprised most of the teachers.
“Yes, it was a surprising, in fact, a shocking decision,” P.C. Antony, another teacher agreed with Pranab, “Being a head-boy or a head-girl is a different ball game altogether. It’s for students who are outgoingdiplomatic, sometimes even brash – qualities not guaranteed in an academically brilliant mind.”
Many teachers believe that the extra responsibilities and work as a head-boy and class monitor ruined Manmohan Singh’s academic performance.
~~~

“He faced many challenges,” Kapil Sinha, another teacher recalled, “One of his classmates and good friends, Anand Raja, stole three laptops from the school ’s IT lab and refused to return them. Mannu had to face pressure from everyone and the school management ultimately decided to expel Raja.”
“I wonder if he got any time to study for the Board Exams!” he added.

Kapil Sinha.

Pranab Mehta.

P.C. Antony.

~~~
Anand Raja.
Who Brought Upahaar Shame.
~~~

He didn’t even get the support of a head-girl even though Upahaar Vidyalaya is a co-ed school,” a teacher told us on conditions of anonymity, “Sonia Madam did away with the practice of having a head-girl when she joined the school in 1998.”

Many teachers fear that today Manmohan Singh is neither good at being a brilliant student nor a good manager as a head-boy.

Manmohan Singh, i.e. Mannu, declined to comment on his performance.

~~~
This post is a satirical spoof on the deteriorating state of the Nation thanks to Sonia Madam and her UPA-haar Puppetry.
Because, Charity Begins At Home...
~~~

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

~~~
~~~

Charity Is Thus, A  Synonym To Giving...
Harboring The Need - The Ones In Need...
Anchoring Their Hopes, And Their Living...
Rarely Those Good Deeds Outweigh Greed...
Instilling A Sense Of Gratitude Toward God!
Transforming From Stingy - Generous, Thus...
Your Being Is Touched, To That Core, Thus...

Belief In Oneself - Will Power Stands Strengthened...
Enlivening Thus, Your Life, Energizing Thus Thy Being...
Garnering The Strength To Lead A Life Of Grace, Thus...
Inspiring Your Kin, To Follow In Footsteps Of Kindness...
Nurturing In Them, A Sense Of Fraternity, Of Selflessness...
Supporting Them, For Their Bright Future, Brightest Indeed!

And, Then There Is Afterthought, A Humble Thought...
Then, तुमको देखा तो ये ख़याल आया - My Own Kin, Indeed!

Harnessing The Power Of Charity, I Imply It At Home!
Optimizing This Resource, To Invest It - For Our Child!
Maintaining My Stand - That Charity Begins At Home...
Echoing, The Fact That, It Should Stay At World's Home!

~*An Olfactory Oopsy Daisy!*~

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

~~~
Five Senses Of The Human Body.
Tongue.
Eyes.
Nose.
Skin.
Ears.
Wonder, why I've arranged them, like that?
Look Closely.
You'll read - TENSE.
Why Tense?
Does it hint you to #WhatsThatSmellBoss?
Well, you've been led to the right place, Dear Reader.
~~~

My Faculty Of Smell.

The One Which Is Considered To Be My Strongest Sense.

The One Which I Was Proud Of.

I Say Was.

Because, You Are About To Read An Account...

Of How, My Strong Sense Of Smell...

Became A Strength I Regretted.

Even If For A Tenth Of A Second.

Even If For A Couple Of Hours.

~~~
Rewind In Time...
Not Much...
Only To 2009.
~~~

Picture This.

A New Home.

With A New Washroom. (Of Course. :P)

But...

With An Old Geyser.

A Faulty Geyser.

With Rusty Outlets.

In The Chill Of January!

~~~
A New Washroom, With Faulty Equipment...
Doesn't Suit.
Does It?
~~~

So, I reach out to the Phone.

Call Up The Plumber.

~~~
The only mistake I committed...
I told him to come inside the house, albeit His Shoes!
He stepped inside a dry washroom, with his socks on his feet.
~~~

A tingling sensation disturbed my olfactory nerves.

That sensation soon turned into a Stench.

Poor Me, wondering...

An unoccupied, new house and an unused, new washroom, could possibly generate Zero Stench.

It Was Too Late...

Poor Me realized my folly.

~~~
It were His Feet.
His Socks.
And That Unbearable Stench.
The Stench Of Not Having Bathed.
Not Having Bathed In The Chill.
~~~

My Situation At That Moment...

Could Be Summed Up As...

'आगे कुआँ पीछे खाई।'

~~~
If I Tell Him To Work With His Shoes On...
I Invite God's Wrath...
My Home Sweet Home
My New Home Sweet Home, You See.
~~~

If I Ask Him To Leave...

I Invite God's Wrath...

Faulty Equipment Remain Faulty In A New Home, You See.

~~~
And Thus The Situation Turned...
TENSE.
~~~

Step 1 :- Turn On The Exhaust. *Fail!*

Step 2 :- Cover The Nose. *Double Fail!*

Step 3 :- Spray The Room Freshener, For A Bout Of Fresh Air. *Stench Air!*

Step 4 :- Avoid A Sorry Stare From The Guilty. *Realization...*

Step 5 :- Encourage The Guilty To Work Faster, Accomplish The Task, And...

*Spare Me!*

*Spare Yourself!*

*Spare My New Home!*

~~~
The Guilty Had Realized His Folly Too...
So, Thankfully, Step 5 Worked.
I Knew He Was Sorry.
He Knew He Was Sorry.
I Advised Him To Take A Hot Water Bath Every Morning.
He Said, He Couldn't.
The Reason...
Absence Of A Water Heater At His House.
Absence Of Racold's Pronto!
~~~

The Next Week...

I Gifted Him A Pronto.

Not, Because Of His Stench.

But, Because Of The Sorry State Of Affairs.

And...

Because, He Was A Trustworthy Plumber.

Whose Services I Couldn't Afford To Lose.

~~~
That Was My Close Encounter.
Of The Smelly Kind!
 This post has been written as a part of 'What's That Smell, Boss?' Contest organised by Racold Thermo in association with IndiBlogger.
The Mysterious Look - Not A Mystery Anymore!
Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
~~~

Once Upon A Time...
Is How All Stories Begin.

Isn't It?
But, This Is Not A Mainstream Story!

So, It Begins Like...

~~~
The Evening Of 13 January 2014...
Was Meant To Be A Special One.
The Excitement For Lohri Celebrations Was In The Air.
But Here, We Witnessed An Exception!
Apart from Lohri, Birthday Wishes Had Cast A Joyous Spell...
Especially When It Was Someone's Eighteenth!
~~~

And As The Clock Struck 1800 Hours...

We Found The Princess Of The Family...

Making A Star - Studded Appearance...

Among The Family Members...

~~~
Why Of Course...
The Cake Cutting Was To Be Followed By Bonfire...
Bonfire...
Popcorn...
Peanuts...
And Jaggery!
~~~

The Princess Was An Adult Now...

The Day Marked A Double Celebration...

And There Was Gaiety All Around...

More So, Because She Was The Only Girl Among A Future Generation Of Boys...

A Sister Among Three Brothers...

The Apple Of Her Grandma's Eyes...

~~~
With The Cake Cutting Ceremony, Having Been Performed...
Now, Was The Time For The Family...
To Proceed To The Bonfire...
The Pious Ceremony At Lohri...
A Ritual...
Performed Year After Year...
~~~

~~~
And Then...
She Caught Them Looking At Her...
~~~

Who?

Her Brothers...

Looking At Her...

And Her Granny!

~~~
With A Quick Mind...
And Sharp Observation...
She Was Quick To Understand...
There Was Something Fishy...
~~~

Her Brothers Had Taken Charge Of Distributing The Jaggery & Peanuts As प्रसाद After The Bonfire...

Then & There...

She Told Her Granny, Not To Take It...

Neither Did She Take It...

Called Up At 100, To Unmask Their Trickery...

The 'प्रसाद' Meant For Granny And Her...

Examined By Sniffer Dogs...

It Turned Out To Contain Poison!

~~~
And, She Stood Testimony To Her Brothers' Clever Plan...
She'd Overheard Them...
Planning To Spoil Her Birthday...
Which Implied...
Planning To Spoil The Will, Which Granny Was To Sign...
In Her Name...
~~~

Her Brothers Were Held Guilty...

A Shame In The Name Of Family...

A Shame In The Name Of Relationships...

~~~
Lest...
 There Was No Blood...
There Was No Murder...
There Was No Gloom...
Only Righteousness Prevailed...
~~~

The Prompt is, Do Over - 'Go Back To A Blog Post That You Have Written And Try And Offer A New Perspective Or A Different Ending To It.'

The Post Which I'd Chosen To Twist, As You Might Have Guessed Is - The Mysterious Look... - Which Was Written As A Response To BlogAdda's WOW! Prompt Back In December 2013.

I Fought...

With All My Grit...

The Only Regret...

I Attained Martyrdom...

At The Hands Of Cowards...

Of The Likes Of Kauravas...

Cleanliness Equates With Godliness...

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

~~~
What Comes To Your Mind...
When I Say...
Messy?
Dirty?
Untidy?
Unclean?
~~~

A Rather Gross Imagery Takes Shape, Right?

A Place Where You'd Rather Not Be?

Of Course!

Who Likes A Filthy Environment?

Except, Maybe A Canine...

Rolling In The Mud? :)

~~~
Keeping Up With The Age Old Adage Of...
"Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness..."
I Like To Hold Strong Belief...
~~~

One.

The Virtual Perspective.

Of A Preference...

Of Clean Surroundings...

Of A Clean Ambiance...

Of A Clean Work-space...

Of A Clean Room At Home...

~~~
Two.
The Literal Perspective.
Of Purity...
Of Thoughts. Words. And Deeds.
Of Honesty...
In Mind. Body. And Soul.
~~~

Because...

~~~
Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness - Says An Age Old Adage...
Leading Me - To An Organized Approach, So Is Its Advantage...
Edging Me Out From This Crowd - Is My Perspective Towards...
Abhorred The Filth, To String Together Those Heavenly Chords...
Nestling In Me - An Audience, Applause, For That Perfect Touch...
Inspite Of The Fact That Materialistically Clean, Reigns...
Scrutinizing The Filth Of Thought - It, Very Much Pains...
Hampering The Expanse Of Intellect, Such Is Filth Of Thought...
Expanding At Expense Of Truthfulness, Such Is Filth Of Word...
Action, The Sufferer, Worst, Bearing All The Weight Of All  Its Filth...
Vexing Is The Mention Of A Blemished Soul, At Large And Such!
Epitomizing An Idol Of Honor, A Prayer That Comes Onto Mind...
Necessitating That Timely Introspection, As To Where In Life, We Are Headed!
