An Empowering Meal At TFIF - The Future Is Female...

TFIF - The Future is Female Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

TFIF - The Future Is Female, as the name suggests, is a cafe based on the premise of women empowerment, featuring an all-female staff. Situated on the fourth floor among many restaurants that are in the heart of Rajouri Garden, it is in the good company of MealODrama and Band Baaja Baaraat.

The outlet itself is a spacious one, with aesthetic decor featuring terrariums as lamps and on the outset, flora influences a major chunk of the interiors.

A three-month-old baby, TFIF is an eatery, bar, and bakery, all in one. There are ample natural lighting and multiple kinds of seating - couches, bar stools, etc.

With coasters featuring feminist slogans, the outlet has its vibe done right.

Here's what I would recommend trying at TFIF...

Beverages:

Mutka Iced Tea which comes in an earthen pot, hence the name. A refreshing drink, given the humid atmosphere.

Heaven On Earth has a subtle fruity flavor to it, topped with cherries.

Mango Cheesecake Shake was a thick shake with a dollop of cream, and spicy crisps as a garnish to balance the sweetness.

Titbits:

Tamatar Papdi Chaat and Khumani Tikki Chaat both have crisps layered with yogurt, pomegranate seeds, and tamarind dip. While the former has pulpy chunks of tomato, the latter has chunks of apricot.

Dimsums:

Between the Exotic Veggies and Peppy Paneer that I sampled, you can go for the latter, for a mish-mash of cottage cheese that lent it an Indianized flavor.

Soups:

There is either Mushroom Cappuccino that is a thick creamy broth served with Garlic Breadsticks, or the classic Oriental Soups filed under Soup of the Day.

Starters:

Beetroot Arancini with light pink arborio rice stuffed in cheese balls was a melt-in-mouth preparation.

Masala Khumb Ravioli is easily one of the nice appetizers, with button mushrooms cooked the Indian way stuffed between crunchy Ravioli sheets.

Main Course:

TFIF Manchurian Pizza is one of the in-house specialties and has a star-shaped crust that has Manchurian balls at its ends.

Paneer Longlata is an Indian preparation with soft cottage cheese sandwiches rendered in gravy paired with rice, salad, pickle, and mint dip.

Desserts:

Tiramisu came in a martini glass, topped off with cocoa powder and chocolate shaving. It was soft, creamy, and had a balance of bitter and sweet.

Butterscotch Waffles were warm and soft, topped with a dollop of vanilla, and caramelized sugar chunks.

All in all, I had a nice meal at TFIF and would deem it fit for a meal with friends and family alike.

Clocking Deliciousness At The Clock Tower...

The Clock Tower Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

The Clock Tower is one of the prominent and popular names in the F&B space, located on the Golf Course Road. An ode to the boarding schools of India, The Clock Tower draws inspiration from Victorian Era with its grandfather clock being reminiscent of olden times.

Drawing from the grace and style of European spaces, and as an ode to their Alma Mater, Sherwood, Nainital, The Clock Tower is a brainchild of two alumnae who focused on bringing a colonial microbrewery to the heart of Gurgaon, rendered completely in teak wood and stone.

The Clock Tower is adorned with memorabilia and trinkets to remind patrons of the life and times of a student who has spent time as a learner in boarding schools across the country. Complete with Tintin, Asterix, and Malgudi Days corners, followed by an Alumnus Corner at the entrance, which has been host to various Reunions for a couple of prominent resident schools, The Clock Tower is a nostalgic overboard.

Spread across a sprawling three floors, and a beautiful rooftop with a patio that enables you to witness the clock up high in action, The Clock Tower is a Brew Pub and Kitchen of the style that is seldom witnessed in the capital city.

Here's what would be the must-try dishes when at The Clock Tower...

Beverages:

Mandarin Sour

Mango Mania

Smooch

Virgin Mojito

Watermelon Cardamom Refresher was Keshav's concoction with a hint of lime.

Appetizers:

Dahi Ke Kebab is one of the classics and well-selling dishes at TCT and was presented in a wheel-cart accompanied by salad and mint dip. It was simply melt-in-mouth.

Achari Paneer Tikka had a subtle layer of tang all over the cottage cheese chunks topped with a bell pepper slice. Not overboard at all and highly recommended.

Tandoori Mushrooms were presented on a shovel, accompanied by salad. Again, subtle flavors of mustard on the palate, and they were well-prepared.

Homemade Corn and Jalapeno Poppers are an in-house special and I could taste why. This one rides away to glory in a make-shift bicycle.

Soup:

TCT's Soup of the Day was Manchow served along with crispy noodles and is undoubtedly one of the best soups I've had since long.

Main Course:

The Clock Tower Pizza was a Chef's Special with an assortment of veggies as toppings.

Veg Stroganoff was prepared nicely, served with herbed rice.

Sikanderpur Lahsuni Saag had an assorted bread basket to complement its preparation.

Desserts:

TCT's Dessert Jar of the Day was Tiramisu in a jar, presented with a 'cocoa fork'.

TCT's Dessert by Slice was Chocolate Cake complemented by ice-cream with a drizzle of syrup.

On the whole, The Clock Tower is not just any other themed restaurant, but one of those rare ones that have a reason backing the theme as well. Also, TCT is perfect for any and every kind of meals with friends, family, or colleagues alike. :)

Cibo Buono At 28 Capri Italy...

28 Capri Italy Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

What if I told you that a culinary sojourn to Italy was possible in the heart of Delhi? That too, to a place boasting of a solid foundation of a decade and more?

I am referring to 28 Capri Italy situated in Defence Colony, which once used to be Little Italy. I had a chance to try the authentic Italian fare offered by them recently. I found its brand name similar to 38 Barracks, where the number hints to the location of the outlet.

The outlet is spread over a spacious two floors - second and third - former moderately lit while the latter has natural lighting and a well-designed balcony with provision for outdoor seating as well, with cages retaining fairy lights.

The Menu has a touch of Italy too, and why not, it being a restaurant that caters solely to Italian Cuisine, though going beyond just Pizza and Pasta. Each dish is also explained in a verbose two-liner for patrons to garner what they should expect when the dish arrives at the table.

Here's what would be some of the must-try dishes from an extensive variety elucidated in the Menu.

Soups:

Minestrone is a classic with veggies and pasta going into its making and was done just right.

Zuppa Di Pomodoro Basil, which translates to the classic tomato and basil broth, was served alongside a portion of garlic bread.

Meat Ball Soup had a creamy texture and herbs to complement the meat balls.

Appetizers:

Chicken Involtini was a Chef's Special with a cheese stuffed chicken skewered, garnished with bell peppers and served alongside French Fries.

Prawn Chraime was tangy and a bit spiced served with a portion of Cous Cous salad and fries.

Fungi Trifolati had sliced and sauteed button mushrooms served with Creme Di Fungi broth.

Pizza:

Half 'n' Half Pizza was the best of both worlds with Go Crazy Crazy (V) and Seafood (NV). It was prepared well and had ample, flavorful toppings.

Risotto:

Broccoli and Spinach Risotto was creamy and garnished with sliced baby tomatoes.

Main Course:

Cottage Cheese Medallions were grilled nicely and topped with an in-house tomato sauce garnished with olives and served with garlic bread.

Grilled Panko Crusted Pesce was prepared well, and had a Mushroom Risotto and lemon herb sauce on the side. Quite a burst of flavors there.

Desserts:

Tiramisu is the classic Italian 'Dolci' though the rum was a bit overpowering in its preparation.

Creme Caramel was the perfect conclusion as a stellar custard. This one can be praised with eyes closed.

On the whole, 28 Capri Italy comes across as a nice option to relish some fantastic Italian delicacies with family or friends. :)
