PADE --- Sharp --- Day 9

Just last week, I was invited by a close friend to attend an 'Old Classic Songs Music Concert' by Zorba Entertainment at the SiriFort Auditorium, New Delhi. Since listening to old classics is my favorite passtime, I was eager to reach Sharp on time.

On the D-Day, I got ready in my choicest evening gown and adorned my favorite diamond rings which gave a striking Sharp lustre in the limelight.

Just as I reached the venue, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a Rose Garden Lawn full of multicolored roses. As I bent down to pluck one to adorn my tresses, Sharp thorns made their presence known to me as if refusing to part with the rose.

As the concert progressed, I noticed the musicians who took to playing my favorite song - Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye from Jurm (1990), what a coincidence that the music piece was composed of all Sharp scale music notes... (# means Sharp in Musical notation.) Below is my daughter's casio and her audio rendition of this beautiful song.

I couldn't have imagined more befitting interpretation(s) towards this theme of PADE.

And just as my daughter reminded me of our visit to Baratang Stalactite & Stalagmite (sharp ended slivers seen clearly) Caves, Andaman, January 2013, I'm tempted to put those caves captured in my lens as a part of my interpretation too...

PADE Day 8 --- Rules --- My First Entry As A PADE Participant

Who RULES The World ?
Of Course GOD...
By Any Name
In Any Religion
Faith In God Is Keeping The World Awed.

We, Mortal human beings, exist by the illusion that Monarchy or Democracy rule the world and hence frame different rules for different fields of work to be followed by different people.
We, however fail to realize that GOD has an upper hand in all what happens in this universe whether it is the Rule Of Earth's Revolution Or The Origin Of All Living Beings...

This post marks my first participation into PADE by Sfurti JuztaMom and Ritu KT's ToRaveAbout. All entries for PADE Day 8 (including this one) can be found here and here.

This post won a 'Shutterbug Of The Day Badge' for Day 8...

Heartfelt thanks to the organizers - Sfurti & Ritu!

Right V/S Wrong --- The Educational Perspective

WHY?

Why is it that since ages, Right has to fight for what he deserves & Wrong takes a leap and obstructs the way?

WHY?

Why is it that the Wrong path always seems to be the shorter one to gain what one shall achieve by hard work to climb the Right path?

I experienced the same in Delhi University last week where I went with my daughter to procure the seat she got by her sheer hard work & perseverance since the last twelve years. Every year we all read about the exuberant increase in the cut offs for all the popular courses in our renowned DU.

Well, fine, that it is becoming really unattainable sort of feat for the students but WHY does this have a lot to do with politics?

The reservation policy wherein 50% seats are reserved, it has become shockingly pathetic that General Category Students stand nowhere. Moreover, the actual needy ones in the reserved categories are not getting the benefit. Mostly, the people who produce the fake caste certificates and mark sheets and the ones whose parents actually earn Lakhs but show themselves as belonging to Non - Creamy Layer are the ones who steal and grab the opportunities in all fields of life. This is increasing year after year. Lots of time and energy is being wasted in locating the fake certificates and genuine students have to waste their precious time due to all these procedures.

WHY is everyone so eager to follow the fake and Wrong shortcut to achieve success in life?

Actually they don't gain success this way. They can only get a degree (if they manage to escape the scrutiny by any means) but when they will jump in the sea of opportunities in the market, their worthlessness will surpass and Truth shall prevail.

Hence, parents, please teach your children to follow the tough but glorious path of hard work and sincerity rather than choosing the easy but dishonorable, fake one so that they can get strengthened and ascend to triumph for their lives ahead.

When You Say Nothing At All...

This post was my second attempt at writing for BlogAdda's WOW! Initiative and was adjudged as one of the WOW! posts. A new achievement. Now, two in a row - The first one being On A Rainy Day...

This prose has also been published at WE as a part of their Anniversary Issue, April 2015.

There's something in the air
Seems to be a hush - hush affair
You go about it with a flair
What's going on in your mind's lair?

When You Say Nothing At All...
Are you trying hard to recall?
Whether you want to spill it or stand tall
It's entirely your call.

To the mind goes a stairway - the eyes,
Are you trying to cook up some clever lies?
Or is it some genuine surprise?
I wonder as my eyebrows rise.

When You Say Nothing At All...
Does it point to the beginning of your fall?
Are you attempting to build around yourself a wall?
Don't stay mum... In your court lies the ball.

I wonder if away from all this you're shying
Or simply for my attention, you're vying?
On silence, are you relying?
Or is there something hidden, underlying?

When You Say Nothing At All...
Is it about some matter big or small?
Or is misfortune going to befall?
All this is causing a gall.

Speak up, for God's sake!
Have you done some mistake?
Why has your perception turned opaque?
Please don't take it for granted... What's your take?

When You Say Nothing At All...
My anxiety starts to take an upward crawl
Have you been through a disturbing brawl?
Oh My! How you've managed to keep your emotions under an unintelligible shawl!
